We Give Back to the Society

Canara HSBC Life Insurance Company is committed to more than just giving back to the society or community within which it operates and focuses on doing well as a responsible part of the society.

The business of Life Insurance is all about social security and protection aimed at the well being of human beings and society as a whole. One of the five core values of the Company is Corporate Citizenship which stresses the fact that businesses and markets are broadly aimed at the welfare of society and thus complements each other.

The Company focuses its efforts in three major areas: financial inclusion (child education, women empowerment, skill development, capacity building for youth, women etc), environment (biodiversity/wildlife, natural resources and livelihoods) and healthcare (health & well being of communities).

Udaan

A child education programme that aims at mentoring underprivileged children, children with disabilities or who are differently abled.

Green Cover Programme

An initiative aimed at protecting and conserving the environment by planting trees.

Let's Change, Let's Save

A programme aimed at using all resources responsibly/optimally through focus on reducing, reusing and recycling; respond to the challenge of global warming and climate change by promoting efficient use of energy and environment friendly processes and technologies and focus on changing/adopting ways of conserving the local biodiversity, thus protecting ecosystems and the environment.

All initiatives have an in-built employee volunteering component and form a part of the above-mentioned themes.

Bhoomika is working in the field of healthcare sector, specifically on eyecare with an aim to help all those who suffer from visual impairments, especially those from marginalized and underserved communities.

Friends of Tribals Society

FTS is committed towards upliftment of the underprivileged rural and tribal masses in India. It is providing five-fold education namely Functional Literacy, Health Care/Arogya, Development Education/ Gramothan, Empowerment, Ethics & Value Education/Sanskar. The education at Ekal Vidyalaya runs on a concept of One Village-One Teacher-One School.

Army Wives Welfare Association (AWWA)

AWWA is an association that works for the welfare of the spouses, children and dependents of Army personnel. It is aptly called the invisible hand that shapes the punch of the Indian Army. AWWA works in the field of education, rehabilitation of widows, promoting health awareness and well being and women empowerment.

Mythri Sarva Seva Samithi

MSSS focuses on Environment, Livelihood, health, provision of safe water, construction of sanitation facilities, solid waste management, skill development and farming.

United Way Mumbai

United Way Mumbai is a part of the 130+ year old United Way movement engaged in nearly 1800 communities, spanning 41 countries across the world. Their work includes identifying, designing & implementing high impact projects in the areas of Education, Health, Income, Environment, Public Safety & Social Inclusion in urban and rural communities across the country.

CanKids...KidsCan

CanKids…KidsCan is dedicated to a Change for Childhood Cancer in India. They enable treatment, care and support for children with cancer and their families from moment of diagnosis, through treatment and after into survivorship, or relapse, palliation and bereavement. They partner with treating cancer centers, national and international organizations and State Governments to provide support to families, build capacities, promote quality care, research and impact and facilitate stakeholder engagement and patient, family and civil society engagement.

Agewell Foundation

Agewell Foundation has been working for the welfare and empowerment of older persons of India since 1999. It has set up a network of volunteers spread across India and interacts with older persons on daily basis through its volunteers’ network. A Special Consultative Status has been granted to Agewell Foundation at United Nations since 2011 in recognition of their work.

WWF-India

WWF-India is one of India's foremost conservation organizations and is a part of the global network spread across 100 countries. WWF-India's works across a diverse spectrum spanning biodiversity conservation, climate change and energy, river basin and wetland management, sustainable livelihood and on environmental education.

Aide et Action

Aide et Action works globally to make 'Education for all' a reality by focusing on basic education for the underprivileged; works in 22 states in India.

Amba Foundation

Amba Foundation based in East Delhi, it works in the fields of education, health & community development, with a special focus women and children from economically weaker sections of the society.

Navjyoti India Foundation

Navjyoti India Foundation was founded by Dr Kiran Bedi and other like-minded police officers. The NGO works in the NCR and focuses on self reliance and crime prevention through education & empowerment of marginalized section of the society. The NGO has recently started working in the environment space as well.

Canara Bank Centenary Rural Development Trust

Canara Bank endeavoured to promote rural development, set up the Rural Development Section at Head Office during 1980 and Canara Bank Platinum Jubilee Rural Development Trust during 1982. The Trust was renamed as Canara Bank Centenary Rural Development Trust in 2006. It has been playing a pivotal role across the country to bring about a socio-economic transformation in the society, particularly in rural areas via education and skill training for self-reliance.

Rural Development Trust

OBC set up OBC Rural Development Trust in 2005 for setting up of Rural Self Employment Training Institutes (RSETIs) and taking up other developmental activities like education and vocational training for self-reliance. The Trust has established training Institutes in five Districts, viz., Jaipur, Sriganganagar, Ferozepur, Dehradun and Palwal.

Advit Foundation

Advit is a not for profit development organization, registered in India working for conservation of environment resources and livelihood enhancement. With a vision of promoting approaches to sustainable development Advit's work focuses on improving living/working conditions through improved environment conditions, promoting environment education and conservation practices in north India, mainly Rajasthan.

Butterflies

Butterflies is a registered voluntary organization working with vulnerable children, especially street & working children since 1989 and has presence in different parts of the country. With a rights based, participatory, non-institutional approach the organization endeavors to educate and impart life skills to vulnerable children so that they become self-reliant.

Nehru Foundation for Development (NFD) - Centre for Environment Education (CEE)

Nehru Foundation for Development (NFD) - Centre for Environment Education (CEE) is a national institution engaged in developing programs and material to increase awareness about the environment and implementing projects on sustainable development. CEE was established in 1984 as a Centre of Excellence in Environmental Education, supported by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change.

Parampara

Parampara is a non-profit voluntary organisation dedicated to the cause of Odisha's Art, Craft & Culture as well as self-reliance and livelihoods. Parampara literary means a tradition and the institution is indeed an endeavour to preserve as well as channelize the flow of Odisha's Art Tradition into eternity.

Haritika

Haritika works with marginalized people whose lives are dominated by extreme poverty, illiteracy, disease and other handicaps. With multifaceted development interventions, Haritika strives to bring about positive change in the quality of life of the marginalized people of Bundelkhand region of UP and MP.

Centum Foundation

Centum Foundation is engaged in carrying on social and charitable activities of national importance including vocational training for self reliance across India.

Ashray Social Welfare Foundation

Ashray Social Welfare Foundation works in the field of environment sustainability, with a special focus on community development and water & sanitation. The efforts are directed in providing the vulnerable sections of the society a respectable life without having to migrate to urban areas in search of livelihood.

S M Sehgal Foundation (Sehgal Foundation)

A public charitable trust to strengthen community-led development initiatives to achieve positive social, economic, and environmental change across rural India. Its grassroots programs address three of rural India's most pressing and interrelated issues: water security, food security, and social justice.
