Dinesh Tak is the Chief Agency Officer at Canara HSBC Life Insurance, wherein he leads the company’s proprietary distribution strategy with a focus on expanding and strengthening the agency channel.
In this role, he is responsible for building the firm’s agency business channel, driving productivity, & unlocking new growth opportunities aligned with the IRDAI’s mission of Insurance for All by 2047.
With a career spanning over 25 years, Dinesh is a seasoned sales leader with deep expertise across insurance distribution, strategic sales management, business development, and cross-functional team leadership. He brings a strong track record of delivering scale, revenue growth, and channel innovation across diverse markets.
Prior to joining Canara HSBC Life Insurance, Dinesh served as Chief of Sales – Central India at ICICI Prudential Life Insurance, where he was responsible for managing proprietary distribution across Agency and PSF (Proprietary Sales Force). During his 19-year tenure at ICICI Prudential, Dinesh held multiple senior leadership positions across Agency, Bancassurance, and PSF channels, including national and regional roles. Before his stint at ICICI Prudential, Dinesh worked with Axis Max Life Insurance and also gained valuable early-career experience in the IT sector. This diverse exposure has shaped his strategic thinking and people-first leadership style.
Dinesh holds an MBA in Marketing and Finance from IMT Ghaziabad. He is widely respected in the insurance industry for his ability to build and mentor high-performing teams, his cross-channel expertise, and his strong execution capabilities in dynamic, fast-growth environments.
